IGS 2022 YOUNG MEMBERS PHOTO CONTEST

The images in our gallery tell a story about the geosynthetics industry – the members, the events and the way geosynthetics are used around the world. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and when you look at the pictures submitted for our photo contest you’ll see that the competition was unbelievable and the images express far more than a thousand words! From mountain tops to the sea, IGS Members provided a stunning array of photography that is sure to inspire future projects and photographers.

IGS Photo Contest

The IGS Photo Contest is held every four years in conjunction with the International Conference on Geosynthetics (ICG). The photo contest was first held in 2010 in conjunction with the 9th ICG. The second photo contest, held at 10ICG in 2014, brought in 142 submissions from around the world. The third and fourth photo contests were conducted by the IGS Young Members Committee, held at 11ICG in 2018 and at GeoAsia7 in 2022. The contests brought in 53 photos and 52 photos, respectively, from around the world.
