The influence of the temperature on the shear resistance of geotextile-geomembrane and geonet-geomembrane interfaces has been investigated by means of a temperature-conditioned direct shear apparatus. The investigated temperatures range from O °C to 45 °C. The preliminary experimental results show that the influence of the temperature on the interface shear resistance may be important; therefore this factor has to be considered when the design interface shear resistances are selected.
