It was determined in a field trial that asphalt layers which are re-inforced with polyester reinforcing grids can be milled. Milling capacity is, however, reduced in comparison with unreinforced asphalt layers. More extensive laboratory tests show that reinforced milled materials can be reused in the mixture for asphalt base courses with a weight share of up to 30 % without any decrease in quality.
