Pietro Rimoldi, Yoshihisa Miyata and Ivan Puig Damians from the IGS Technical Committee on Soil Reinforcement (TC-R) illustrate the use of geosynthetics for the function of Reinforcement. They show how geosynthetics can be used for reinforced soil walls, reinforced soil slopes, veneer reinforcement, and basal reinforcement.
